Promoting global research and teaching in Franciscan studies, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across history, theology, philosophy, culture, and the social sciences.
The Association aims to promote research and teaching in the field of Franciscan studies, in particular the study of the Franciscan movement with special consideration of the theological, historical, spiritual, and pastoral aspects of this movement in the broadest sense. It endeavors to promote cooperation between researchers in its own discipline and its sub-disciplines, in particular medieval history, philosophy, theology, and culture, and applied Franciscan and other disciplines. It also promotes interdisciplinary exchange with researchers in such disciplines as economy, ecology, ethics, psychology, sociology, and literary studies.
This online conference gathers scholars from diverse disciplines and cultural contexts to explore the meaning of inspirational leadership, past and present. The conference invites dialogue between this distinctive service-oriented vision and modern leadership theories, allowing each to illuminate the other. By examining themes such as inspiration, vision, receptivity, relationality, fraternity, and transformation, the contributions translate Franciscan leadership wisdom into resources for contemporary leaders. The conference also marks the official launch of the International Association of Franciscan Studies.

Membership Levels
1. Basic Individual Membership: annual membership fee $30.
2. Journal Membership: annual membership fee $100, includes eBook of Franciscan Studies volume for that corresponding year.
3. Institutional Membership: $150 annually for an organization and up to 5 current employees, includes an eBook of the Franciscan Studies volume for that year per member under its organization.
4. Access Membership: student or low-income annual membership. $10 annual membership with one-time yearly access to the Franciscan Studies eBook for the corresponding year. (Those qualified for financial assistance.)
