Faculty spotlight: research mentorship in action

Dr. Scott Simpson, professor of chemistry, Honors Program director, and chair of the Department of Chemistry, plays a central role in mentoring undergraduate researchers at �鶹ӳ��. Through hands-on laboratory research, he helps students navigate the complexities of scientific inquiry while developing practical skills and confidence as emerging scholars.

“Many colleges do not provide opportunities for meaningful undergraduate research,” Simpson said. “Through the labor of its faculty, support from its alumni and the drive and curiosity of its students, �鶹ӳ�� does.”
