Need a ride home for the holidays? �鶹ӳ�� has partnered with Mega Bus to provide a convenient way for students who live in the New York City area to get to and from campus for our various breaks.

Campus pickup and drop-off locations:

• Robinson/Falconio halls circle
• Francis Hall

NYC pick-up/drop off location:

• Port Authority Bus Terminal, New York, New York

Cost:

The cost of the break bus is $85.00 each way. Tickets can be purchased online. Click the link below to purchase tickets on the MegaBus website. Students will receive an email with information notifying them when the ticket sales for each trip begin.

The link for ticket sales can be found on my.sbu.edu (Student Life/Bona Bus/Bus Trips), the Bonnies Connect App, and �鶹ӳ��’s website.

If you are the first person to purchase a one-way bus ticket through the MegaBus website, the cost of the trip will only be $1. This promotion is available for every one-way bus trip.

How to purchase tickets:

• Click on the link below next to the break you are purchasing tickets for.
• Indicate if you are purchasing a one-way round-trip ticket (directions below are for those who have chosen round-trip transportation).
• Under From type “�鶹ӳ��.”
• Under To type “New York, New York.”
• Under Leaving and Returning, pick the dates listed under the schedule below
• Click the + or – buttons under How many travelers? to adjust how many tickets you are purchasing.
• Please indicate any special needs for the bus trip using the button listed.
• Click Find tickets.
• You will be taken to screen to select your departure from campus tickets. Click Add to basket for where on campus you will be getting on the bus (Francis or Rob/Fal Circle).
• You will then be taken to another screen to select your departure from NYC tickets. Click Add to basket for where on campus you will be getting off the bus (Francis or Rob/Fal Circle).
• Look over your travel information to make sure it is correct, scroll to the bottom of the page and read over the terms and conditions and privacy policy.
• Once you have read over those forms, check the box to acknowledge you have read them and then click Pay.
• You can either log in (if you already have an account) or purchase them as a guest by typing in your email address.
• Fill out the needed information and then click Pay by card.
• Fill in needed card information and click Make Payment.
  

Luggage information

One piece of luggage (up to 50 lbs and no larger than a standard “large” suitcase) and one small piece of hand luggage can be brought on the bus. Megabus does not check luggage or provide receipts for luggage transported on the bus by the passenger. Customers may not transport in their baggage or otherwise any items that are inherently dangerous, including any hazardous materials as that term is defined by the U.S. Department of Transportation, or weapons of any kind. Megabus operators reserve the right to place further restrictions on items transported for the safety of its passengers, the operator and the motorcoach.

Buses Depart Campus on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Departs Francis Hall at 2 p.m., Rob/Fal at 2:10 p.m.
Buses Return to Campus Monday, April 6, 2026. Departs Port Authority at 10:15 a.m.

Free transportation during most weekdays and on Saturdays is provided by the Bona Bus. The bus makes numerous stops on campus as well as in the neighboring communities of Olean and Allegany.

On weekdays, the bus runs from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. On Saturday, the bus runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Students and employees are encouraged to register their bicycles with the Office of Safety & Security. Registration is free.

Any bicycle stored or operated on campus should have a valid permit (sticker) and must be parked in a bike rack and locked. Bikes attached to signs or trees, left in stairwells (a fire code violation) or otherwise improperly stored may be impounded and a fee assessed. Locks destroyed or damaged during removal will not be replaced. Free indoor storage is provided for any registered bike, excluding electronic bikes, which are prohibited from being stored or permitted inside university facilities.

Bicycles not in use may not be stored on campus over the summer. Summer students with bikes should make arrangements by calling (716) 375-2525 or emailing security@sbu.edu.

At the end of spring semester, unregistered or inoperable bikes will be sold at auction. Those not sold will be discarded.
