The article relates to the impact of a quantum mechanical exercise that was developed for a general chemistry laboratory course at Â鶹ӳ» in which students examined potential energy surfaces, molecular orbital diagrams, and how bond orders and Lewis structures are connected.
The Journal of Chemical Education (JCE) is co-published by the ACS Division of Chemical Education and ACS Publications. Launched in 1924, JCE is the world’s premier chemical education journal.
