Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of Journalism and Mass Communication, recently published a pair of biographical sketches in "The Commanders of Antietam," the newest publication from the Antietam Institute. The pieces highlighted Confederate generals Stonewall Jackson and the irascible D. H. Hill.

Artwork by Heather Lynn Harris, associate professor and director of the master's in Marketing Communication program, has been licensed by Blanc Space Art, LLC for inclusion in the prestigious Silverado Resort & Spa project in Napa Valley, California.

An article by Dr. Richard Lee, a professor in the Jandoli School, appeared in AMP: American Musical Perspectives, an academic journal published by Penn State University Press.

Anne Lee, a lecturer in the Jandoli School of Communication, presented her research on Marilyn Monroe at the Mid-Atlantic Popular & American Culture Association conference in Atlantic City on Nov. 7.

Heather Harris, associate professor and director of the master's program in Marketing Communication, was invited to speak at Texas A&M University-Commerce on Nov. 21.

Dr. Kimberly DeSimone, professor and director of the master's in Leadership program, was appointed on Oct. 1 to the board of trustees for the Aquarium of Niagara (AON) and will head up the Diversity, Equity, Access, & Inclusion Committee.

Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of Journalism and Mass Communication and associate dean of undergraduate programs in the Jandoli School, has an article in the 2025 edition of the Journal of the Shenandoah Valley During the Civil War Era, a journal published by Shenandoah University’s McCormick Civil War Institute.

Freddie Coleman, longtime ESPN Radio host, will broadcast his 3-7 p.m. national show from the Reilly Center Wednesday, just before the unbeaten Bonnies (4-0) men’s basketball team take on Mansfield University.

Dr. Brian Moritz, associate professor of online master's Journalism programs, is the co-author of a new sports journalism textbook, "Introduction to Sports Journalism," published in September by Human Kinetics.

Buffalo Toronto Public Media will broadcast a forum that features �鶹ӳ�� faculty unpacking the issues in the presidential election.

Aaron Chimbel, dean of the Jandoli School of Communication, was a panelist for “Strategies for Mentorship of Colleagues and Managing Burnout in Higher Education,” a Curriculum, Assessment & Administration session at the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) On-Location conference held Oct. 6 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chris Mackowski, a writing professor in �鶹ӳ��’s Jandoli School of Communication, has written a new book, “A Tempest of Iron and Lead: Spotsylvania Court House, May 8–21, 1864.” The book, published by Savas Beatie, LLC, has already been chosen as a selection by the History Book Club.

The upcoming addition to the home of the renowned Jandoli School of Communication at �鶹ӳ�� now has a name, thanks to the generosity of one of its most accomplished alumni.

�鶹ӳ�� will host a panel discussion on the 2024 presidential race on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.

�鶹ӳ�� will celebrate the rich legacy and exciting future of the Jandoli School of Communication during the school’s 75th Anniversary and Hellinger celebration Oct. 19 on campus.

Sam Borden, adjunct instructor in the Jandoli School of Communication's Online Journalism master's programs, will have a story in the 2024 edition of The Year's Best Sports Writing, published by Triumph Books.
